This automation system allows authorized personnel to use their smart cards to make consultation calls from the emergency department call panel and the Room Control Units in patient rooms. The calls are transmitted to the consultation team’s desk phones, and the consultation team can terminate the calls using their own smart cards. All calls are recorded and can be reported.
